In any story, there are characters. Despite being fables or epics, each character changes and develops over the course of the plot. Sometimes a character may learn a lesson, grow in some way, or maybe have a happy(or not-so) ending. The book,
The Boy in the Striped Pajamas is a clear example of character development. At first, the main character, Bruno misses his home and friends in Berlin(seen above) when his family moves to Out-With(Auschwitz) due to his father's job. However, he learns that there is more to Out-With, and even meeting a boy named Shmuel, a holocaust victim.
